Track 1

Artificial Intelligence

(organized by Shay Bushinsky)

Examples of AI projects:

  • NLP: using open source, build a lexical analyzer inferring a given class of a term/object  e.g. Dog (class) → Animal ; Elton John (class) → Person ; Elton John (occupation) → Singer ; Elton John (country of birth) → England.

  • Games: build a "Rock Scissors Paper" AI player - that plays the game iteratively against other AI players iteratively - participate in a tournament with other team AI players.

  • Search: build a solver for known game puzzles e.g. "Rush hour" / "Hungarian cube" puzzle set.

Special Computer Chess Track:

As part of the AI track CRI will be happy to award special prizes to top achievers in the category of computer chess.
Submissions are encouraged in the form of advancing aspects of an automatic game playing program in the form of

  • Deterministic and probabilistics search algorithms

  • New search heuristics and knowledge representation

  • Parallel algorithm implementations

  • Online and offline learning

  • Pattern databases and efficiency

  • Advance chess interfaces (robotics and education)

The submissions may be tested in "tournament mode" - paired against each other and in solving designated problem suites.
